James “Vig” Sherrill: President and CEO

principals.vig.jpg Vig is a serial entrepreneur who has led a number of successful technology companies. Most recently, Vig served as President of Flextronics Semiconductor, a subsidiary of the $16 billion, publicly traded Flextronics (NASDAQ:FLEX). Prior to Flextronics, Vig co-founded and served as CEO of ASIC International, an ASIC design company based in Oak Ridge, TN which was acquired by Flextronics. Vig has also been a principal in Trade Winds, a near field communications company which was acquired by Sirit (TSX: SI). Vig earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University, with a focus on digital signal processing.

Bill Malkes: Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer

principals.bill.jpg Bill is a long time business partner of Vig Sherrill and also a serial entrepreneur. Bill began his career as a CPA at the international accounting firm of KPMG Peat Marwick in Detroit, Michigan, where he gained experience working with venture-backed enterprises. As EVP and CFO of Health Care Solutions, Bill oversaw more than 13 acquisitions and subsequent integrations of other companies while raising more than $100 million in financing. Bill was COO/CFO of ASIC International prior to its acquisition by Flextronics and a principal in Healthspex, a biotechnology company. Most recently, Bill was responsible for Emerging Market Development for Sirit Corp (TSX:SI), after Sirit acquired Trade Winds. Bill holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Detroit-Mercy.

Martin Bauer: Vice President of Research & Development

Martin BauerMartin was the winner of two “R&D 100″ awards while serving as Research Group Director at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). After ORNL, Martin served as the Advanced Development Manager at IPIX Corporation as they prepared for an IPO. Martin then joined ASIC International as a Senior Engineer and then worked at Healthspex. Martin holds a B.S. in Physics and an M.S. in Measurement and Control Theory, both from Carnegie Mellon University.
